New Build

Not being a large a firm we don't take on large building sites, however we do take on small to medium size new builds where we can use our quality focused approach to full effect.

We are happy to work and price from drawings. All work is carried to NHBC standards and adheres to building control and architects specifications.

We were not able to knock down and rebuild this listed building, which is the entrance to an underground pumping station. It was built by Mackesons Brewery to supply their brewery and parts of Hythe in the early 1800s. Being in a conservation area and a listed building, it had to be repaired and the repairs not to stand out. Bricks were taken down and laid out and re-built exactly as it was originally.

We have carried out many conservation jobs throughout Kent in brickwork, stone and flint, working closely with conservation officers, which can incorporate new builds or repairs.

Driveways

We are happy to take on block-paving. As you know traditional block-paving is laid on hard core and sand, however we are unique because we lay our block-paving on a wet bed. This stops any spreading or sinking. This also helps weed prevention.

Flint

We can build complete houses, walls or flint panels and this can be finished with any pointing type or style. These can be flat, pointed, brushed or square for example. Flint is very time consuming and specialised, work can be carried out to match existing or build new. Often existing walls require re-pointing.

Between us we have about 70 years experience in flint!

Repointing

New Build

Brickwork ground out from 25mm-30mm and repoint to any style, for example wheather cut and struck, just struck, flush, half round, raked out, double struck. These are just a few examples of the many styles of pionting. We are confident we can match your needs. We have the machinery to keep dust to a minimum, vacuum grinders and screens are erected round areas. Also the correct cutting or grinding blades are used so that brickwork is not damaged.

As the picture shows we can carry out raduis work or if you are just after a more simple garden project we can offer those too, making sure that the correct materials are used to disperse water to make sure your wall lasts longer. If your wall needs to be built to retaining strength, due to different ground levels, we can advise on this.

Brick Doctoring

When carrying out new brickwork, for example repairs or extensions, using our wide range of long lasting dyes and resins, we can make your brickwork look new or old to match.

Conservatory Bases

We also do conservatory bases for both private and well known firms.

Scaffolding

We can supply the scaffold for your extension or new build to eliminate unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. However we only supply scaffolding for our own work.

Plastering

Conservation

Plastering work undertaken, because sometimes the job requires making good inside, for example when stitching in brickwork the inner skin will need replastering. We offer this service just to keep it all in house.

Retaining Walls

When reducing ground levels or if existing ground levels are at different heights, you will often require a retaining wall that has the strength to hold up your driveway or garden.
