Gravesend Library
This building is in a conservation area, and it was decided that a new library needed to be built. So the front of this building was taken down brick by brick manually. These were laid out and paletted with the arches numbered over the corresponding windows. The new library was built and then the frontage was re-constructed to exactly how it was taken down. If you look at the building the right mortar mixes and brick doctoring were used. This makes it look like it has been here for hundreds of years.
